Two villages, one project

Each village keeps its own craft, its own artisans and its own colour. Together they make one collection.

أخميم

In Sohag, women weave 100% Egyptian cotton and embroider it freely, drawing scenes from village life and reviving Coptic and Islamic designs from their own region.

Why buy from the villages

Buying here pays the artisan, not a middleman, and keeps two crafts alive in the places they come from.

Made entirely by hand
Cotton woven on the loom, embroidery stitched freely without a printed pattern, wood carved with simple tools.
The income stays in Upper Egypt
Most embroiderers are the main earner in their household. Woodwork trainees learn a trade over three years.
Egyptian cotton and local wood
One hundred per cent Egyptian cotton, and sarso wood worked in Hagaza.
Designs rooted in the region
Village scenes from daily life, alongside Coptic and Islamic motifs revived from the area's own textile history.
Every piece is unique
Colour and composition are the artisan's own choice, so two pieces of the same product are never identical.
